Dr. Karen Knight offers all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry.
- Diagnostic and Preventive-Examinations, x-rays, diagnostic testing, screening for oral cancer and other conditions, professional cleanings and treatment for gingivitis, sealants, diet counseling, tobacco cessation counseling.
- Restorative-repair of individual teeth with biocompatible restorative materials. This includes fillings, inlays, and onlays. Severely broken down teeth are repaired with core buildups and crowns. Besides traditional materials Dr. Knight also offers bonded natural tooth-colored restorations. Beautiful all porcelain crowns and veneers are available for the best esthetic results.
- Endodontics-root canal therapy, internal bleaching of discolored dead teeth.
- Periodontics-office treatments for gum diseases and referral of severe cases to a periodontist.
- Removable Prosthodontics-removable partial dentures and full dentures.
- Fixed Prosthodontics-cemented custom made bridges to replace missing teeth, implant supported crowns, bridges and overdentures to replace one or more missing teeth.
- Oral Surgery-extractions of hopeless non-restorable teeth and many wisdom teeth.
- Miscellaneous - Nightguard therapy for nocturnal bruxism (clenching and grinding), Cosmetic teeth whitening, nitrous oxide inhalation analgesia (laughing gas) and other sedation services.
- Pediatric Dentistry-preventive and diagnostic services are begun at age one after the primary teeth are in the mouth. This age is so important for parents and their children because we can intercept problems before they occur. Treatment of cavities in children under five is referred to a children’s dentist because the child usually needs special sedation. Dr. Knight usually treats all children who are at least five years of age and older.
